The scope of work included the supply, installation, commissioning, and integration of the BACnet Building Automation System (BAS) into Memorial Universities existing facilities management system. Along with the manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of three fully customized ETL Certified EneRound Units.

Highlights:

  • Geothermal Wells are used as a primary energy source for both heating and cooling. Distinguishing itself from other buildings, it utilizes 55 individual heat pumps serving multiple areas. The Level 1 shop area, for instance, benefits from a single water-to-water heat pump, facilitating in-floor heating.
  • Highly intricate control system comprising over 100 controllers and 4 routers, leveraging multiple layers of BACnet communication for building energy management and load shedding allowing the building to operate with remarkable efficiency.
  • Over 3500 points are broadcasted via BACnet and uniquely named according to the Memorial Universities’ naming convention, the building seamlessly integrates into third-party facility management systems, facilitating streamlined operations.
  • Design, Supply, Manufacturing, and Commissioning of two fully customized ETL certified EneRound Energy Recovery Units and one fully customized ETL certified Heat Recovery Unit.
